The End of the Two Party system

Erick Erickson
Editor-in-Chief, Red State

I was surprised at your "dis-invitation" to Donald Trump to this weekend's "Red State" Gathering. -

For whatever reasons, he is — by far — the most popular NON-Democratic Party Presidential candidate.  You — most of all — should NOT be judging / determining who will represent We the People, especially, when your criterion seems to be PC (political correctness).   Aren't you sick and tired of that?  Why didn't you keep an open mind and open forum and let us "Useful idiots" determine — for our own 'misguided' — or not - selves -who WE WANT to represent us.

Also, Erick, you may have — wittingly, or not — paved the way for the demise of the TWO PARTY SYSTEM.  Donald Trump might now definitely realize that he is not and does not want to be part of the traditional TWO PARTY SYSTEM. You may be the proximate reason for "the Donald" to start his own "Fiscal Sanity" party.  This, in turn,  might lead to others — on both sides of the LEFT-RIGHT divide — starting/leading their own party based primarily on their own strengths, e.g., Ted Cruz might decide to head the (true) Conservative Party while Jeb Bush might lead the Compassionate Republican party and Chris Christie might lead the LAW & ORDER party, etc.  The same scenario might then carry over to the LEFT.  Hillary Clinton could lead the "Peoples' Party", Bernie Sanders the "Socialist Party", Joe Biden the "Pen & Phone" Party, etc.

Since it is doubtful — or not — that any one candidate would receive the required 270 electoral votes outright, they might realize — before the election — that forming alliances is the way to go (just like many European countries, Israel, etc).  That would make for some very interesting — behind the scenes — negotiating lest the House of Representatives decide the outcome.  And Donald Trump is the recognized master negotiator.

Yes, it could be time to relegate the U.S. two party system to the dustbin of history.

To be clear, I am NOT supporting Donald Trump (or anyone, for the moment). I am, however, supporting the notion of INclusion. How do we, Republicans, expect to attract non-traditional GOP voters, e.g., gays, blacks, Hispanics, etc., if we can't even INclude our own Republican brothers and sisters. FWIW, I don't believe Trump is a closet Dem — or closet anything else for that matter. He wears his life on his sleeve.

Since some have rushed to defend the "delicate" Megyn Kelly, her interview with Howard Stern — where she discusses her married sex life — might prove enlightening:

My biggest complaints about the "debate":

1.  It WASN'T a debate.  The Fox anchors spoke for over 37 minutes while no candidate spoke for more than 10.
2. The Iran nuke deal was not explored

Neither were:
3. The TRUE unemployment rate which Trump pegs around 20%
4.The deteriorating state of race relations... and....

The "debate" was great for Foxes' ratings but utterly lacking in exploring important issues and proposed solutions

Iran Protest Rally - July 22, NYC
Tuesday, Jul 21, 2015

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  Recently, many Americans felt abandoned/betrayed by the Supreme Court vis-a-vis SCOTUS-care and — arguably — by both the President AND Congress (Yes, Republicans, too) on trade, etc.

However, these and other issues pale in comparison to the existential threat posed by the Iran Nuke 'Appeasement' that was signed and touted by Obama and his lackey, Secretary of State, John Kerry last week.

Enclosed below are some of the relevant concerns and details surrounding what many call a “horrendous deal”.
New Jersey Rough Rider Society Event - July 23
Monday, Jul 20, 2015

We are both pleased and proud to support our good friend Christopher "Chris" Barranco as he hosts an event to honor and commemorate one of his prime influencers, Teddy Roosevelt.

Chris is a rising star in the New Jersey Republican Party and a strong voice in the PRIVATE SECTOR (e.g. TRADE) unions and we applaud his efforts to pave the way for many diverse groups to enter the work force and the Republican Party.
